Requesting my Tal Card
First, organize the necessary documents.
Write down the address, zip code, where you would like to have the Tal Card correspondence sent to. This is the address for which your personalized Mastercard® card will be sent, and should be a valid address in the United States. Have an identification document with picture provided by the government of your country. You can use a passport, driver’s license or identification from your country, as well as driver’s license, SSN or IITN provided by the US government.
Have the money for emission fees available.
You have 3 ways to obtain a Tal Card:
- Through the Tal Card Relationship Center, calling 1 866 708 1748.
For the forms listed above, the first is the fastest and most convenient, since you receive a temporary card at the moment of transaction while your personalized card comes through the mail.
In case you choose to request your Tal Card by phone or online, you must send a copy of your identification documents and the payment of the emission fee in the form of check or money order to:

In case of a request by phone or online, you must wait for the arrival of your personalized card.
Yet, in both cases, you can be contacted by an agent close to your address to complete the purchase in person.
Depositing cash on my Tal Card
Making deposits trough
authorized agents Tal Card:
- Go to an attendant of the establishment with your Tal Card.
- Wait for the identification of your Tal Card in the system.
- Pay the deposit (minimum of $10.00 and maximum of 1,000.00), plus the reload fee (varies between US$ 3.00 and US$5.00, depending on the agency).
- Request to the attendant the receipt of your deposit.
Making deposits
at the certified Green Dot points :
- Go to an authorized point of sales Green Dot (stores Kum & Go, Rite Aid, Food4Less, Wallgreens, CVS Pharmacy, Fred Meyer, Fry's, RadioShack, Dollar General, Smith's, Kroger, Coinstar, Cumberland, Ralphs or Hess).
- Buy a GreenDot MoneyPakTM Universal ReloadTM card (cost of US$ 4,95).
- Go to the attendant of the establishment and pay the value of the deposit (mÃnimum of US$ 20,00 and maximum of US$ 500,00) plus the Green Dot fee (US$ 4,95).
- Request to the attendant the receipt of your deposit. This receipt contains a code (PIN number).
- Call 1 800 GREENDOT (473 3636) or access www.getmygreen.com and follow the instructions on the back of your GreenDot MoneyPakTM Universal ReloadTM card.
- Inform the number of your Tal Card and code of your deposit at GreenDot (or what is on the back of GreenDot MoneyPakTM Universal ReloadTM).
- The value will be transfered to your Tal Card and will be availabe in instants.
- Daily limit of up to $1000.00 on your Tal Card account.
Paying bills, services and accounts with my Tal Card in points of sale (POS) and internet.
For
purchases and payment of services in general, use your Tal Card as any other debit or checking card.
Daily limits of up to $2500,00 on POS/PDV transactions, and up to $250,00 on online payments.
Withdrawing cash with my Tal Card
Go to any Pulse®, Star® or Mastercard®
ATMs and follow the instructions.
You can also withdraw cash trough the
cash back transaction at any establishment that accepts these transactions. As you pay for a purchase, request for a debit higher than the value of the merchandise and receive the change in cash. This operation is absolutely free.
For withdraws in currency
outside the United States, go to a Mastercard® ATM, the exchange will be according to the official Mastercard rate at the moment of conversion.
The daily limit of withdawals is US$ 2,500.00. (Some ATMs can limit the withdrawal between $800 to $1000 per event).
Making Long Distance Calls to Fixed Numbers and Cell Phones with my Tal Card
To call with your Tal Card, call the toll free number on the back of your card (1 800 767 4491) and follow the instructions. The call can be made from any phone in the United States (fixed or cell) to any place of the world. Tal Card offers special fees for calls to Brazil.
From US$ .75 (75 cents per minute) for fixed or cell phones.
Making cash transfers from my Tal Card
To make cash transfers, first it is necessary to register the beneficiary. The registration of beneficiaries is made once, before the first transfer of cash to the beneficiary. For future cash transfers to the same beneficiary, use the information already registered.
- To transfer money to another tal Card, you need the account number of the Tal Card beneficiary.
- To transfer money to a bank account abroad, you need the complete name, CPF and bank information (bank name, number of agency and account).
As the registration is done, you can carry out the transfer of values.

For cases of illness, accidents or medical emergencies, the Tal Card offers you the service of emergency medical assistance to cover medical expenses up to $ 2,000.00 per year (up to $ 6,000.00 per year in case of accidents) and provides medical accredited for your immediate assistance or to arrange an appointment.
